Yes: Transesophageal echo is a better method to visualize a thoracic aortic aneurysm. 3.6 cm is too small for surgery but needs close follow up.

Yes: Bicuspid aortic valve and aortic aneurysm, and a family history of aortic dissection is enough to be extremely diligent in routine monitoring of the valve and aorta. Tee is a good test and should also consider ct angiogram to assess the entire aorta and arch as well as the area around the coronary artery ostia.
