How come when one asks for an hpv test, they don't get any results saying the specific type only if its #16/18!? what if you carry the oral strain idk?

Strains identical: The strains are the same whether you acquire HPV through oral or genital exposure. There is no "oral" specific strain.There are as many as a dozen strains associated with cancer but 16/18 account for most. Identification of other strains is limited to research labs.
