Capgras Syndrome: Capgras syndrome consists of the delusional belief that a person or persons have been replaced by doubles or impostors. Capgras and reboul-lachaux described this syndrome in 1923. It can occur in both primary psychiatric conditions like schizophrenia and also in neurodegenerative brain disorders like alzheimer's & ms; infections, and drug toxicity. Bifrontal and temporal areas are implicated.
