A member asked:

Is conception more likely to occur the day you have sex?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Hard to say: It can take a while for the swimming sperm to make it up through the cervix and uterus to the fallopian tubes. Successful fertilization is thought to occur most often out in the tube. That allows the ovum time (day or more) to change to a conceptus that can attach to the womb on the way down.If it catches the egg in the womb or cervix, it is shed before implanting.
