You might want to : Re-ask with a little bit more information. Did the pain of things & hips occur directly after knee replacement surgery. Is is accompanied by other symptoms?

There are many, many reasons for thigh and hip pains and your question can not be simply answered. Most such pain complaints are not serious and will resolve quickly on its own. If it is severe, however, or if it persists or is associated with other symptoms other than just the thigh and hip pain, then you should be evaluated by an appropriately trained provider.
