Arrhythmia: The fact that you have been told your murmur is benign implies that you have had an echo that showed normal valve function and normal heart strength. Irregular beats of any type in a healthy heart, tend to be fairly benign. A 24 hour monitor may be helpful to see exactly what is going on.

Odds are you're fine: Palpitations at rest are common in healthy young adults. Stay hydrated, get enough sleep and exercise, avoid caffeine. If you have experienced significant decrease in exercise tolerance, if the palpitations get worse with exertion, if they cause dizziness or fainting, or if they don't improve within several weeks, go see a doctor. Benign heart murmurs are benign.
