Contact dermatitis: Gently wash the face with room temperature water multiple times. Then slather yourself up with an equal part mixture (make it yourself) of calamine + Benadryl (diphenhydramine) cream + topical 1% Hydrocortisone cream and apply to the affected area three times per day.

Cortisone cream: I presume you are referring to the black coloring. Sometimes an otc Hydrocortisone cream may help.
