I'm 56 f/m non smoke, went to the doc. he did an exam on my tummy, pushing on it till i felt a pain on the left side , what could this be?

Need more info: There are not many organs on the left side- but those that are are related to GI tract. On upper left side is pancreas, spleen, and upper abdomen. Any of theses can be inflamed or develop tumors etc. Lower left is usually colon and ? Diverticulitis or diverticulosis. In a woman the ovaries also remains a concern. Discuss further eval with your doctor.

Can be normal: Did you tell him it hurt?A good abdominal exam requires deep pushing by your doctor and this can be uncomfortable.If the pain persists or returns, go back and show the dr.
