Tight feeling throat: Do you have a cough, fever, chills or a cold. In that case it could be an infection. Of you ate something that did not agree with you it could be an allergy. If it is associated with acid taste in the mouth or heartburn, it could be reflux. Sometimes, reflux causes a tight throat and you do not even have a symptom other than the tight throat. This is the glottis closure & cricopharyngeal reflex.
