I have a thorn stuck in the heel of my foot. i can't get it out. if i leave it do i risk infection?

Thorn in Heel: Definitely you want to have that removed if possible. Make an appointment as soon as possible for thorns can harbor bacteria, plus the bacteria on your skin could have gotten into the wound. As you wait for your appointment, you want to soak in warm water for hours at a time. Place 1 tablespoon of salt in the water and stir. The soaking will immediately start pulling any bad stuff towards the skin.

Yes: Any foreign object in the skin can cause an infection. See local podiatrist to remove and antibiotics if needed.
