Peripheral neuropath: Peripheral neuropathy refers to damaged sensory nerves caused by diabetes, vitamin deficiency, physical trauma, consequence of shingles, etc. Go see your doctor for evaluation & appropriate treatment. Sometimes we use older antidepressants like Amitriptyline (lots of side effects in elderly), epilepsy drugs like Gabapentin & pregabalin, pepper compound (capsaicin), numbing agent (lidocaine) etc.
