Unlikely: If by once, you mean just one dose, the medication will not have prolonged effect. If by once, you mean for several weeks in a row or more, and you have just recently stopped, your symptoms may represent withdrawal or just untreated anxiety.

See your doctor: It is unlikely that one dose of xanax (alprazolam) is causing symptoms. See a doctor to evaluate you and also check for anxiety.
