Fire and cancer: Skin cancer is not caused by fire. However, there have been reports of people who have a burn scar with areas of none healing that have developed cancer. This type of burn scar cancer is very rare and is seen in scars with long term open wounds. If you had a burn and had normal healing of the skin, you should not be at risk.
