What does cloudy urine hint at?

Many possibilities: Cloudy urine can be confused with dark urine. Dark clear urine can be a normal response to decreased fluid intake. Dark urine that looks "coca-cola colored" or has a reddish hue could be a sign of blood in the urine warranting evaluation. Liver disease can also darken the urine. Coudy urine with fever, painful urination or flank pain could be a sign of infection (UTI) or kidney stones.

Cloudy urine: Cloudy urine can come from infections in the urine or also from crystals forming in the urine to make it appear cloudy. If you have no changes in your urinary symptoms you can try increasing your fluid intake and see if this clears.

Cloudy urine: Cloudy urine may be caused by an infection, usually associated with frequency or burning. More commonly cloudy urine may be from elevated phosphate levels. Phosphates are a byproduct of protein metabolism, so a high protein meal 12-24 hours before voiding may lead to cloudy urine. Lots of water will fix that as it is a normal process and nothing to worry about.
