Address the back : Pain. See your physician if this is a chronic problem. Consider nsaid's or acupuncture for your back depending on what the cause of pain is determined to be. Use good sleep hygiene. Retire & rise same time each day. Keep bedroom dark & cool & use only for sex & sleep. Turn off tv. No naps. Exercise regularly but not in late evening. No caffeine for 6 hrs & no alcohol or tobacco w/i 2 hrs of >.

Sleep & back pain: If you cannot sleep due to back pain, you need to have your back pain addressed. The back pain can be caused by muscle strain, spinal stenosis, ruptured disc, nerve impingement ... Please see your pcp or pain management doctor. You might benefit from a comprehensive evaluation and treatment.
