How can you stop choking on a fish bone?

Eat more chicken: I actually have the same problem--unless i'm very careful to remove all the little bones from fish one can get stuck and run me crazy. Usually i can cough it up or it goes down, but sometimes one will have to be removed with a scope. I've been lucky so far and haven't needed that. But i try to be very careful with fish with small bones i can't always see.
