How to get rid of a pounding headache and dizziness?

Pounding headache: I would start with excedrin migraine, or naprosyn (naproxen) (aleve), or Ibuprofen (advil, motrin). Try a cold compress over the area that is throbbing. If you can, i would try to nap. If the headache continues, i would go to the local emergency room.
