Repetitive areas: Most commonly tendonitis or tenosynovitis occurs in joints that are used repetitively. Areas such as the shoulder, wrist, elbow, knees and ankles are the most common.

Misnomer: Tendonitis is a misnomer. It is tendonopathy. The inflammation is usually in the tissue surrounding the tendon. It can happen to almost any tendon.
