Transplant center: You have a friend. The friend needs a heart transplant. In chicago the university of chicago and loyola would be the center for referral. Your friend will be placed on a list. Unfortunately some has to die in order to donate their heart to your friend. It is a complex issue and many patients die waiting for a transplant. Bless you for trying to help. Be well.

Overkill: Brugada syndrome causes sudden death by sudden onset of ventricular tachycardia. Treatment is medication to reduce rate of vt. Also placement of an implantable defibrillator (icd). A transplant would treat it but is overkill and has lots of risks.
