Not true for most: Chemotherapy after hysterectomy is only required if the hyst was done for cancer, and sometimes is not even needed then. The specifics would depend on why the woman had the surgery in the first place.

Cancer: Patients given chemotherapy after a hysterectomy virtually always have cancer that is being treated.
