Chronic chalazion: You most likely have a chalazion, not a stye. A chalazion is a chronic infection in the eyelid gland, causing a small pea-shaped lump in the eyelid. This may respond to warm compresses and oral antibiotics, but sometimes this needs to be incised and drained. This is a simple office procedure that is not difficult for the patient to go through. See your eye doctor if this doesn't get better.
