A member asked:

How likely is getting lung cancer from smoking?

3 doctors weighed in across 2 answers

14% of smokers get: Lung cancer, but those that smoke to age 35 have a 50% risk of dying from smoking related other cancers, lung, heart, or vascular events (stroke, claudication). The chance of lung cancer without smoking is quite small. Just forget that it is reasonable to smoke, it is one of the stupidest things humans do.
