A member asked:

Please tell me, could someone get lung cancer from things other then smoking?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: Exposure to asbestos, coal dust and severe air pollution can be associated with lung cancer as well. About 10% of cases of lung cancer occur in non-smokers. Some of these are related to second-hand smoke, some to industrial/occupational exposures, and others happen with no known precipitating causes.
