Balanitis: Inflammation of the glans penis is called balanitis. It's more common w/uncircumcised males; depending on cause may be associated w/systemic complaints like joint pain, mouth sores, swollen glands & feeling overall bad. Most commonly due to candida but as well from gc or syphilis, hpv, herpes infection, streptrichomonas, gardnerella, autoimmune diseases, contact dermatitis.
