How likely is getting cancer form using hair products with formaldehyde?

Controversial: Formaldehyde is officially listed as a carcinogen, but the amount of exposure necessary to produce certain cancers is likely quite high. Pathologists (such as i am) use it all the time in tissue preparation and don't have an increased risk for cancer. The amount of exposure from ordinary use of hair products is probably insignificant. If you are worried, switch products anyway.
