Depends on age: An ablation may or may not completely stop your cycle. Time will tell on that. An ablation is really designed to decrease heavy bleeding. Now traditionally menopause is when the ovaries stop producing significant amounts of hormones, usually around age 51. (hot flashes, mood swings, sleep issues, vaginal dryness, etc...) an ablation has nothing to do with that.
