Sure: The "back to sleep" campaign began in 1994 to educate folks about ways to reduce the risk for sudden infant death syndrome (sids). The campaign was named for its recommendation to place healthy babies on their backs to sleep, which seems to reduce the risk for sids. However, it's fine if baby rolls to another position while she is sleeping - no need to reposition her.

Not good: Side position sleeping has the same statistical risk as belly sleeping in young infants. While many would never have a problem, you could never live with yourself if you let her and something happens.Back sleeping has dropped the SIDS rate in this country by 40%.We're not sure why, but it does help.
