No right answer: Some doctors will say wait a week or so, but there are no studies to say that you need to wait at all. There's very little trauma to your cervix with a D&C and the cervix does close up right afterwards. I recommend that patients wait one cycle before trying again, if, in fact, you're trying for pregnancy. If you did get pregnant right away, however, there's no increased risk for miscarriage.

D & C: Generally it's a good idea to wait at least 2 weeks after a d & c to have intercourse. That allows the lining of the uterus to heal.

2 weeks: I recommend women who have had a d and c for a miscarriage wait about 2 weeks before having sex. Remember to use something such as condoms to prevent pregnancy. I recommend women wait for 2 periods after the procedure before attempting pregnancy.
