Achilles' tendon: Just as a plain question, it's hard to answer. Sometimes patients undergo a transfer of one (part of) muscle or tendon to make up for another muscle that might not be functioning well. Tendon transfers can help patients suffering from a wrist drop, a foot drop, or other, sometimes traumatic injury or nerve injury. Please provide some details if you can so we understand your diagnosis better. Thx!

Achilles Tendon Surg: Achilles tendon transfer surgery is where the tendon is moved from the back of your heel forward to the top of your heel. This is done with neurologically spastic patients where you want the tendon to work but not so powerfully.
