Glucose: If you took "glucose tablet" 5-10 minutes before taking blood sugar test, it will definitely increase the blood sugar reading. The right way to check it is to fast over night for 8 hours and then check "fasting blood sugar" in the morning.

Unlikely: If you have normal glucose tolerance, taking a glucose tab will not change your blood or urine glucose level significantly. You should have a fasting blood glucose level and hba1c to be sure that your sugars are okay. There are some families where there is excess glucose in the urine but they do not have diabetes.
