Septal bounce: The septal bounce is a paradoxical motion of the interventricular septum initially directed towards and then away from the left ventricle during diastole. Typically seen in constrictive pericarditis & cardiac tamponade due to ventricular interdependence, but can at times be seen in right ventricular dysfunction. Pericardial window was done presumably for drainage of accumulated pericardial fluid?
