It's in the wrist!: My first thoughts are ganglion cyst vs. Synovial cyst. Space here doesn't allow elaboration but i would let your doc take a look. He or she should be able to tell pretty quick.

Dorsal ganglion: If on the top side of your wrist, likely a ganglion. These are benign and not dangerous. No need for treatment unless becomes painful on a regular basis.
