SRI Sex Dysfunction: 30-50% of people who take ssri anti-depressant medication experience sexual dysfunction. There are case reports showing that addition of other medications such as buspirone, amantadine, and bupropion have reversed ssri induced sexual dysfunction. However, rather than adding a second medication you might want to consider a different medication for depression than Lexapro (escitalopram) to avoid this side effect.

ED and SSRI: Discuss with your doctor to see if its appropriate to change from ssri (e.g. Lexapro) to another medication that has no ed side effects. Viagra (sildenafil) type medications are the current treatment method of choice. Low testosterone levels are sometimes encountered which should be addressed if indicated.
