Food Myths: Nope. Not in any way. This is absolutely not correct. If it were many women in many parts of the world where drinking tea like this would have difficulties with their pregnancies.

Chamomile: Chamomile can stimulate uterine smooth muscle -- not good in pre-term pregnancy. It increases blood flow in the pelvic and uterine area --it's an emmenogogue which can also induce menstruation. Historically it was also used as an abortifacient. All these are reasons why chamomile isn't recommended in pregnancy, even though many women have safely used it. http://tinyurl.com/px7ymna.
