A member asked:

After using birth control pill, my cycle's been completely messed up, i've had my periods for about 4 weeks and the pain is excruciating is it normal?

No: To clarify: if you are off of the pills now, and since stopping the pills your periods have been irregular, then it reflects either a hormonal problem or another problem that is interrupting your normal menstrual cycling. Lab testing and a sonogram can help identiy the reason.
