Black line: The black line could be from a number of causes but play it safe and get a small biopsy. I have seen melanoma from one case the others were fungus or subungual hematoma.

Toenail: If you have recently stubbed the toe or dropped something on it, that could be old blood under the nail. Fungus can grow under a nail and give a black coloration. Sometimes a mole will form at the base of a nail and discolor it as it grows out. See your doctor if you want to get a diagnosis.

From injury???: You can just leave it alone and sooner or later it will just come off on it's own. A new nail will grow in. If it hurts, have it removed by a podiatrist.

Needs to be : Seen in person. It could be something benign like a bruise or blood under the nail, it could be fungus, though something like subungual melanoma needs to be ruled out. Since we can't see it, i suggest you have it looked at by doctor.

Blood: Most common reason is a collection of blood under it from trauma or long distance running. Less common is a melanoma.
