Copper tongue: Not sure what you mean by copper tongue (taste vs. Look). One way or the other, your surgeon would be the best to answer since he knows what occurred during the surgery and what medications were used.

Oral hygiene: If it is cause by oral rinse like chlorohexidine, a common medicine often prescribed after any oral surgery as its side effect, there is nothing to worry about. It is also possible cause by plaque accumunation or certain medications you are taking. Please consult your dentist if that is a concern for you.
