How do you lower blood pressure on a day its running high? take medicine for hbp daily, but today the bottom number is running high.

Hypertension: Focus on big picture. Eat healthy & exercise regularly. Record blood pressure regularly but don't get upset over one reading. Look at BP over last several weeks to months. As long as most are in goal range, don't worry about occasional high numbers. If consistently high, then go see doc to discuss options. See if you're salt sensitive (compare BP on & off salt). As always, take meds as directed.
