Not a sign of plaque: 30% block in your carotid artery will not cause pain in your neck area.It is an indicator that it can compromise the blood flow to the brain if gets worse. One has to control the LDL levels in blood and bring it down with statins and diet.If it it prgresses to 60% or more, than you will need endarterectomy and reduce the chances of it leading to stroke.
