Good question: We now know that some of these diseases are associated with metabolism involving vitamin b1 (thiamine) and magnesium. There is some evidence in the meedical literature that there is a partial response of alzheimer's to large doses of thiamine. I suggest that you read my blog "oxygen the spark of life" that you can google.

Learn/support: Since this group of disorders is variable, learn as much as you can from the treatment team. Become aware of and begin to access adaptive equipment that helps the patient function in a house built for average people. Prepare to deal with the paperwork and multiple specialties needed for care. Search out support groups that may help you deal with the day to day problems of life.
