A member asked:

Is it esterogen that is produced more in early stages of pregnancy ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

HCG and progesterone: Are in relatively higher concentration compared to baseline early in pregnancy, but estrogen is also elevated and plays a critical role in enabling pregnancy. (the estrogen drop during a normal period causes menstruation. It stays elevated during pregnancy so that doesn't happen! all three hormones play several important roles in early pregnancy.).
