Quantity vs quality: So it sounds like you're getting an adequate quantity of sleep but the quality of sleep might be good (enough). Has anyone mentioned that you snore? Or that you occasionally get really quiet (stop snoring) then snort/gasp & start snoring again? Sleep apnea is more common that we think. If you fall asleep at inappropriate times, you might have sleep apnea. Or perhaps even narcolepsy. Get sleep stud.

Sorry about that. Ran out of characters. Get a sleep study. Also check your TSH to make sure it's not something simpler like under active thyroid.

Sleep Disorder: It seems like inspite of regular daily 8 hour sleep, you still feel sleepy, it is possible that you may have sleep apnea, restless legs, plms, or other sleep condition interfering for your ability for solid sleep and hence making you still sleepy
please do a sleep study in lab asap
thanks.
