A member asked:

Is it normal to have period twice while breastfeeding how long does it last?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: It's normal to have spotting, irregular bleeding, all types of irregular cycles, basically, when one is breastfeeding. Typically in the first 6 months, you won't ovulate, and hormone of breastfeeding, prolactin, influences estrogen and progesterone, the normal hormones of cycle. Unclear how long it will last. Different for every woman. Enjoy bonding with baby!
