Urgency and pain: Typical symptoms include: feeling like you have a bladder infection (urgency to urinate, burning) when you don't have one, pelvic pain (sometimes relieved by urinating), feeling like you are not emptying your bladder, among others. Symptoms are often triggered by eating or drinking acidic foods, spicy foods, alcohol, or caffeine.

Pain, urge frequency: Pain, urinary urgency and urinary frequency in the absence of an active infection. This diagnosis (also may be called interstitial cystitis) can sometimes be challenging to determine. There are a number of treatments and a multi-modal therapeutic approach is usually the most successful.
