A member asked:

I had corrective surgery on my right eye for strabismus nearly 8 years ago & it recently has begun to twitch sporadically. are they related?

Doubt it: If the eyelid is twitching, that is myokymia and is benign. It may be caused by fatigue, stress, and caffeine among other things. There is no relation to strabismus surgery.

Not likely: The twitching is not likely related to the previous surgery, but see your eye doctor to be sure.
