A 27-year-old male asked:
do our bodies naturally have some viruses and bacterias when we were born or as we grow up?

Confusing question: Babies are born without any germs. If mom had the chickenpox during pregnancy, the kid may harbor that germ in its body but that is a rare exception. Newborns begin to acquire bacteria in their digestive tract and skin surface within hours. And more through their lifetime.

A 38-year-old member asked:
How can these microorganisms like viruses fly in air?

They don't: Viruses do not actively fly though the air. The are sometimes propelled, for example on watery droplets via a sneeze, but they do not have a mechanism to fly themselves.

A 55-year-old male asked:
Are viruses and bacterias live creatures?
2 doctor answers • 3 doctors weighed in

Dr. Robert Kwokanswered

Yes, but...: Bacteria are living creatures, like the rest of us. Viruses are missing some parts so are not living unless they are inside another living creature. Viruses that are by themselves are dormant like seeds or spores, waiting to be reactivated. In a general sense, it is fine to think of viruses as living things, but technically speaking, they are not independently living when alone.
