A member asked:

Should men shed body hair seasonally?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Effluvium: This question has been wondered about for many years. The problem and evaluating an answer is that you need a quantitative assessment of hair loss. This is extremely difficult to do with body hair, and somewhat easier to do with scalp hair. It is thought that the seasonal changes in hormones in temperature may indeed result in loss. I personally do not believe this exists.
