Because we can?: Genetics determines how much body hair a man can grow. Personal preference determines whether he shaves / trims / "manscapes" it. There's no moral right or wrong here. Many men prefer to shave and nowadays many women prefer a shaved man. If you find male body hair disagreeable, there are plenty of naturally smooth and shaved men.
