Rib cage pain and phlegm when i cough. Is this bronchitis?

Could be: If you have cough with production of sputum accompanied by chest pain could be many things among them bronchitis being one . Other possibilities are pneumonia , self limiting upper respiratory tract infection . The list is long . If the symptom persists , the best thing to do is to see your pcp.
