A member asked:

How long is it supposed to it take before i stop coughing after having bronchitis?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Weeks: If you have been recently diagnosed with bronchitis, i would expect some cough for up to two weeks. In smokers the cough will take longer to resolve. This is the case in asthmatics as well. If there is sinusitis accompanying the bronchitis, therapy directed at the sinuses is helpful. If you are not better soon, see your doctor.
